Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Rychlik received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. After working in the computer consulting industry, he felt that medicine was his true calling, and he received his medical education at the University of Illinois. He proceeded to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Francis Hospital at the University of Illinois, followed by his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine.
Inspired by his desire to help educate both patients and doctors, Dr. Rychlik spent time as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona and an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois. He served as the President and Medical Director of Fertility Centers of Arizona as well as The Clinical Director at Partners For Fertility and IVF in Fairfax, Virginia before relocating to Santa Barbara and joining Southern California Reproductive Center.
An award-winning research physician, Dr. Rychlik has worked with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, and has been named a CREST scholar by the National Institute of Health (NIH). His accolades include the Golden Apple Teacher Award for his clinical instruction at the University of Chicago and an award from the Research Excellence Abstract Presentation Society for his work in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Additionally, he has been consistently voted “Top Infertility Doctor” in various regional magazines.
